I chose the name of my practice, Change the Script, because I was so tired of the same stupid movie playing over and over in my life. And, oh by the way, it was written by someone else. I knew there had to be more so I set out to rewrite the script into a movie that makes me smile every day! I am a recovering workaholic. I’ve tried making everyone else happy by working harder and harder only to find that they may have been happy but I certainly was not! I was exhausted, stressed out and making myself sick! And, my family wasn’t very happy either.
I experienced a lot of trauma as a child but know that it all made me who I am today – and I really like who I am! Every day I learn something new about myself and have come to view these learnings as my daily adventures. I love my birth family but we don’t “get” each other most of the time. I’ve had great relationships and not-so-great relationships. Every one broke my heart when it ended but each one taught me something that helped me realize that I deserve the best in life. I found my forever love and 25 years later we are happier than we ever were. I have a grown up daughter who is the most incredible person in the world and my best friend.
I found life coaching when I was frozen with indecision and couldn’t figure out why nothing was working. My own life coach helped me find my path and I knew from that moment that I wanted to spend the rest of my life doing the same for others. Every coaching session makes me giggle because it brings me so much joy. I am a healer and a teacher and always have been. I spent a lot of years running from that fact because I was afraid of what others would think. There comes a time when we must boldly step into our destiny and work to make the world a better place.
So, that’s my version, here’s the official stuff!
